Tvinci Launches MTV Poland
MTV Networks International (MTVNI) and Tvinci signed a multi-territory agreement to launch several new broadband websites across Eastern Europe. The websites are powered by Tvinci’s innovative media management platform and deliver a virtual library of premium content from MTVNI’s extensive multi-genre portfolio spanning the MTV, VH1, VIVA and Comedy Central channel brands. Viewers are able to interact with one another through a social networking application layered over the video player, which will allow users to add comments, tag content or communicate with friends while watching their favourite programmes and music videos online. Furthermore, the site includes a magazine containing video & written articles. Metadata is shared between the three interwoven parts of the site.
The technology for the site has been designed in light of Tvinci's holistic approach towards the video content viewing experience – a superbly designed social network that revolves around premium video content.
The first video site powered by the innovative platform was launched in Poland during October 2008. The following video site will be launched soon in Hungary (planned for December 2008). Additional local licensees are expected to adapt the platform by the end of 2009.
